Mr. Swan is the Principal of Sea Harbor Properties, whose mission is to develop leading-edge, shared-use projects that:

• Revitalize the downtowns of small towns and neighborhoods that have been economically marginalized by suburbia and big-box retailers,
• Dramatically reduce the emissions from automobiles by reinventing communities with a pedestrian-friendly emphasis, and
• Preserve historic downtown architecture for the appreciation of future generations.

Professional and Management Exsperience
General Manager of Mitsui Comtek Corp., New York, NY; Manager of a group which was responsible for the identification and structuring of high technology business ventures to develop products and services in the telecommunications, computer, and cable TV industries. Under his management, he helped forge the Zenith Data Systems mobile computing venture from $20 million in annual sales to over $310 million.

Manager, Software Development, General Electric Co.: Managed a group of 35 programmers developing high speed data acquisition systems for domestic and international customers.

John Represented Mitsui and Co. (a $140 billion conglomerate) in the formation of high technology joint ventures between U.S. and Pacific-rim companies. Technology ventures encompassed the fields of telecommunications, computers, and high speed data networks, and ranged from pure start-ups to strategic alliances between large multi-national corporations.

Board Memberships: John has held seats on the NASA Ames Technology Commercialization Center, San Jose State University Foundation and the Cupertino National Bank and Trust Advisory Board. Emphasis has been on tracking economic and technical trends and forming public and private sector high tech. partnerships.
